What are you buying your 8yo (birthday)?

DD about to turn 8. She's just starting to grow out of toy toys (maybe just a phase but she hasn't touched her Barbies in weeks!) and can't think of anything she wants for her birthday.

So far we've got a couple of games for her Switch and an art subscription box, but looking for a few more ideas!

Oh, and there will of course be a Pop It or two, as these are clearly the craze right now.

She's had a crappy couple of birthdays so want to make it feel special. What are your 8yos going nuts over at the moment?

Mine LOVES beauty products (don't know where she gets it from I as hate anything like that). So she had a load of lotions and potions and make up. I know it's not for everyone but she is very happy spending time creating her "looks". For her 7th she really wanted a desk to do her "work" on (drawings and writings and that).

Love the karaoke machine idea but not sure DH would

A STEM activity. Got my niece a build your own programmable coding robot.

A 'thing' that projects a light display onto her bedroom ceiling.

My DD got a Karaoke machine for her last birthday. She has just bought a keyboard with vouchers she has saved and is loving it. It has headphones too for our sanity!

She also had a skateboard at Christmas and loves that too.

I've bought a karaoke machine! DH will have to sit in the other room
