Theatre starts at 7.30 can arrive an hour before hand. Dinner is 5 minutes walk away and booked for 5.30 will that give us enough time to eat?

Yes, plenty of time. You may find at that time that they have a special pre-theatre menu anyway, if there are theatres close to the restaurant..

Plenty - the restaurant will be well-used to the pre-theatre crowd and if you tell them that you have tickets to a show they will make sure that you are finished in good time.
