Hi

I noticed last night a red patch of skin underneath the corner of my bottom lip, it’s not on my lip but the skin underneath.

I wondered if this was a coldsore? It doesn’t itch or tingle or hurt I only noticed it when taking my make up off and it’s still here today but less red. It did look a bit weepy last night but it isn’t today.

I’ve never had one before, but I do know it can lay dormant etc

Went pharmacy and she asked if it tingled i said no, she said it could be one or could be a reaction to something

I have started using high strength epiduo for acne so I don’t know if it’s from that.

I've got a corker at the moment and it's killing me.

I'm immunosuppressed, so it's been a call to the GP to get a large dose of antivirals for a week.

@Iilly2343

They don’t have to tingle
If you were vaccinated recently you can have flare ups very common as you immune system is effected

Get the Z cream

Would it not hurt though ? It’s just like a red dry patch of skin now? No blisters or anything

I’ve had cold sores since I was a young child and while most hurt, some don’t much at all - they just look awful. Cold sores don’t just affect your lips either but can be around your mouth and nose, and even inside your nose. I get one inside my nose in the same place every 1-2 years and it can be incredibly painful.

Mine always hurt, spread and end up with a ton of anti viral tablets.
