There’s a lot of forces helicopters up tonight and showing on FR24, not sure I’ve ever seen quite so many at once!

There's a police plane doing a massive round over Hull at the moment! It looks crazy out there tonight!

Ooh and the Typhoons are up too

Other half was on an archery course in Devon last week and could hear them doing night exercises very low. These aren’t showing on Freedar tonight. Two coastguard choppers around the Scillys too.

Yesterday daytime it was busy around the defence school near Shrewsbury - think I saw about ten! God, I’m such a helicopter nerd.

The cluster in Shropshire is the Defence Flying School. They're often up in groups and in the dark.

We’re in the West Midlands and there’s been a post on the town Facebook page about a military Osprey helicopter flying over tonight.

Looks like there’s some helicopter training taking place at Shawbury too.

I’m in West Sussex so get nothing interesting here at all. I’ve been nerdy enough to “accidentally” camp right next to Mildenhall…

The Osprey looks incredible at night. Like someone is whipping glow sticks around in the sky.

I’m in Mcr so nothing interesting over here, hence lurking on air traffic sites when I’m bored. Was in Dent end of June when an Osprey flew over so low that I dropped a glass of wine!

That was what prompted the post on Facebook I think, it scared the person half to death with the lights and noise, they thought it was an alien visitation.

No idea what’s going on over Hull - that looks mental.

RAF VALLEY are having family/open day tomorrow so lots of movement towards there I presume

We’ve had forced aircraft flying out at sea by Norfolk for the past few days. Full engines billowing and seen US aircraft going by.
