And doesn’t notice?

A) Say nothing but die quietly inside while you count the long minutes until you can wipe it off?
B) Shout ‘jeez mate, spray that again?’ as you wipe it off?
C) Something else?

I’m never quite sure

Obviously that should read ‘spits on you’.

It's an immediate two step process. 1) totally ignore it whilst you die inside. And 2) mentally add face bleach to your shopping list.

Immediately step back and get a tissue to wipe the spittle off. I would relieve their embarrassment by saying, ‘I do it all the time!’ even if I don’t.

A. The person you are talking to is probably also pretending that it didn’t happen!

TheSkatesOfCoachBombay · 11/08/2021 20:06

Yeah you both just sorta continue like it never happened, whilst dying on the inside. It's a mutual embarrassing moment 🤣

DeePlume · 11/08/2021 20:31

I'd go for B but in a jokey way!

Deadringer · 11/08/2021 20:34

A.

I’m always in awe of people who point it out and make a joke of it - I’m a die inside person as the blob of spittle sits on my face. Many years ago a waitress once spat in my food as she was talking to me and we both looked at each other, horrified. She said ‘did I just spit’ and she looked so upset and mortified I said “yes, but it’s ok” Confused Fortunately she had better sense and said she would go and get me another meal. Whether she actually did or not is anyone’s guess 🤢

A, without blinking, to be polite. After all, they can't help it. B if you don't care about being polite and think they should be made aware. I would go with A as I would rather be super uncomfortable than risk making someone else uncomfortable and being embarrassed on their behalf!

MackenCheese · 11/08/2021 20:38

My nephew would say: "say it, don't spray it!" 😂

IndecentCakes · 11/08/2021 20:40

Maintain eye contact whilst taking a tube of hand sanitiser from your bag and rubbing it over your entire face.

@IndecentCakes

Maintain eye contact whilst taking a tube of hand sanitiser from your bag and rubbing it over your entire face.
That’s what I want to do - but instead I just stop at ‘maintain eye contact’ Grin
