London SkyGarden ID needed? Help!

cherrypiepie · 11/08/2021 18:58

I have booked some tickets to Skygarden but it says I need ID to enter in the name in the ticket. But... I have just sent of my drivers Licnce to be name changed so I don't have any.

Given the delays at DVLA I could be in for a wait.

Passport is in maiden name also.

Have work ID badge but it hardly ID.

I could email them but I can't find an email address.

Have you been to sky garden and did they check ID?

Use your passport in your maiden name and take a copy of your marriage certificate?

NotAnotherPushyMum · 11/08/2021 19:00

I’ve been twice and they’ve not checked.

OlivePenderghast · 11/08/2021 19:00

I forgot to add that I have been (a few years ago) and I’m pretty sure they did check ID. I’m not sure they checked it was the same name as on the booking though.

Classicf · 11/08/2021 19:02

I’ve also been and they didn’t check. But that was pre COVID.

StarryStarrySocks · 11/08/2021 19:03

I've been, they didn't even check I had a ticket, never mind ID! I imagine it's a bit different now thought.

I went last week and heard the guy say that just a bank card would be enough

Cinders22 · 11/08/2021 19:05

I went last week, they didn't ask for any ID.

cherrypiepie · 11/08/2021 19:10

@OlivePenderghast apols I should have said in the op that I sent it with my drivers licence to get nam changed.

Do you have a bank card in the right name? That worked for me.

It's hit and miss whether they ask for ID so you might be fine anyway, but I'd feel better having something just incase I was unlucky!

cherrypiepie · 11/08/2021 19:11

@outnumbered77 I wondered this also. I have a picture of my drivers licence and marriage certificate in my phone.

cherrypiepie · 11/08/2021 19:12

@TakeYourFinalPosition yes bank card in married name.

Also I got married in 2018 so this is my own fault for not doing it sooner Blush and waiting until the backlog was at the maximum Grin

@NotAnotherPushyMum

I’ve been twice and they’ve not checked.
They did check when I went, a few years ago long before covid, I remember taking all the passports
cherrypiepie · 11/08/2021 19:14

@AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair I don't fancy taking my passport out with me to be honest!

We went in June and they asked for our ID. They were going down the queue asking people to have everything out ready to be checked.

Losttheequipment · 11/08/2021 19:23

They definitely checked when I went, probably about 3 years ago

Clearinguptheclutter · 22/01/2024 11:00

Reviving this thread have tickets booked and we all have photo driving licences but do they really require photo ID for kids? We do have passports but don’t want to drag them with us. Unless we absolutely have to.

Clearinguptheclutter · 22/01/2024 11:13

Answered my own question the email tickets says photo ID required for ages 16 and over

but from recent reviews seems not certain that they ask for it

cherrypickles · 22/01/2024 11:41

Op here - they did not check it!

Clearinguptheclutter · 22/01/2024 12:07

@cherrypickles
thanks for coming back!
trip advisor suggests 50/50 but I don’t mind taking DLs for the adults. Just didn’t want to drag out kids passports so pleased that doesn’t seem necessary

cherrypickles · 22/01/2024 12:12

Take picture of passports on phone just in case

Have fun!
