Hi fellow parents,
I am new to the forum and am hoping people can share their thoughts regarding Digital skills education within the high school system.
From research I have done already, it seems that children are no longer choosing IT or relevant subjects for GCSEs which is a little worrying as life now and going forward will be more digitalised.
Also the skills being taught in IT need to be more than just digital marketing and social media as a lot of the younger generation are more equipped for those subjects. I am on the subject of developing sites, the back end , AI etc.
I would love to see other parents thoughts on this as I feel that if we do not get children into learning real digital skills it will affect job prospects going forward.
