What type of bird is this?

I saw an unusual wading bird on a pond near where I live, but I can't work out what it is. It's about the size of a large moorhen and looks a bit like a collared dove plonked on yellow wading bird legs. I'm assuming it's a young bird of some kind.

Can anybody help me out with working out what it is? I've included a photo of it to help.

It’s a juvenile coot, I think. (Possibly juvenile moorhen?)
