What to say calling in sick?

Hate ringing in sick but can't bare to sit in work in pain again today. I've not been to the toilet coming up to two weeks now and struggling to pass gas so very bloated and on top of that I've just found out I'm pregnant 5 weeks.

I've been trying to get diagnosed with ibs for a while but the doctor said he can't just diagnose me like that.

Should I just tell my work colleagues that I've got stomach ache? My manager won't be in until half 8.

Yep I would just say I’ve got and upset stomach/tummy trouble and going to try and get a gp appointment.
Can you offer to work from home?
I also hate ringing in sick, I don’t know why but I always feel guilty and that they won’t believe me!

I always feel the same, but as long as you know you genuinely need the time off don't feel bad! Now you've let them know try and relax and not worry about work. Hope you're feeling better soon.
