Hello, so long story short I left home as a teen after falling out with the family after trauma, lived with my ex for 5 years who tried to isolate me from my family but I refused and stayed as close as I could, my mum has had a terrible year at work and with covid and I want to so something special for her because I feel guilty always for her leaving her old profession because of my former issues, I have a good job, I'm moving to a good place, have a new partner and I am looking to celebrate her achievements she recently graduated a PhD equiv and has anyone got any tips really or recent advice thanks x

What are her interests, what does she like to do to treat herself?

a nice card with a heartfelt comment from you.
set up a mother daughter photoshoot, and maybe some of her holding her degree.

How about you plan a dream trip to South America for her. Research it, make an album/scrap book with suggestions of itinerary, hotels, visits and trips etc. something to dream about, sometimes the best gifts are the ones that show you know the person and have been listening to them
