Just that
It’s getting dark now at around 7pm … she came home at 9.20pm. I want her back at 7pm , it was black outside ,
I think lightless or other , it’s not a bad neighbourhood , however , she’s 13 years of age and I do think 8pm is a push at that age , day or night

Depends what she were doing.

If she were 'at' something - a group / activity / friends house - we'd discuss what were reasonable.

If she were just roaming the streets / hanging about in the park, then in time for her evening meal (so about 6pm)

7 is very early for school holidays, there’s kids still playing out at that time,I’d go for 8.30.

Divebar2021 · 10/08/2021 23:35

Where do you live that it’s dark at 7pm? I would think 8 - 8.30 depending on where she is, how far away it is and who she’s with.

Eatenpig · 11/08/2021 00:22

My 11yr rocks in around 8.30 some days. But I know where she is and with whom.

Where are you that it's 'black' at 7pm?

7 is too early for age 13 IMO.

HaveANiceFuckingDay · 11/08/2021 17:21

I'm talking more winter when its black out . To me 9pm is 9pm summer its light , winter it's dark but still idiot's on the street regardless
Ok clearly I'm BU 😂

Depends what she’s doing.

9pm for my 13yo. Although I do know who they're with and where.

Hellocatshome · 11/08/2021 17:26

It was 9pm when my son was 13 last year now he is 14 its 9:30/10pm

sunshineandshowers21 · 11/08/2021 17:31

mine is almost fourteen and he has to be in for 10pm. as long as he regularly texts me and calls me when he’s on his way home. i bought him a power bank so he’s always got charge on his phone. 7pm is way too early!

OrangeBlossomsinthesun · 11/08/2021 17:32

Admittedly I don't live in the UK, I live in a village in Spain (although near a city) and my 13 year old is out until 11 pm in the holidays. Later even sometimes.

OrangeBlossomsinthesun · 11/08/2021 17:33

7 seems ridiculous to me.

MaMelon · 11/08/2021 17:37

Before dark or 10pm, whichever comes sooner and depending on whether it’s a school night - unless he’s doing something organised like footie or round at his friends playing Xbox. He’s 14. Lots of variables really.

There are many different factors including whether it's summer light evenings, dark winter evenings, where they will be, who with and what your neighbourhood or local roads are like.

My 13 year old comes home before dark (so summer 8.30- 9pm and winter 5-6pm) and always comes home 5-6pm for tea unless we've arranged something different. She also tells or texts me where & who she's with.
On occasion she's been out later depending on an event going on or with group of friends that included their parents or (trusted) older siblings.

She often goes back out again in summer - if with friends- to cycle, sit and chat or play ball at park - but in cold winter when dark she and her friends tend to video chat each other or pop to each other's houses to hang out (live close). They do play out if there's snow or something going on they want to do.

It's been a tough old 18 months so I love seeing children out playing with friends.

9pm latest as I want doors locked so I can relax as a parent in the evenings.
