Stansted airport: where to hire a car at 10pm!

We can only get flights that arrive late in the evening.

Are there any car hire places nearby that are open late? Otherwise we will be stuck!

I've heard there's no taxi rank either!

Train or bus?

Uber?

There's details on the airport website about booking a taxi either in advance or when you're in arrivals.

You can also get prices for a hire car, but they look very expensive, due to limited suppliers out of hours.

Would staying the night in an airport hotel then getting a hire car delivered the next morning be an option?

Where are you going from the airport and will you need a hire car when you get there?
