Covid - return to work

Hi, I am double vaccinated, with no symptoms. My DH got the flu symptoms we all did an LFT, his positive and mine negative. The PCR confirms later on that we have Covid.
My work wants us in on a 50% basis. So I could have gone into the office and easily spread the virus. My DH and I probably had it before he started to display the symptoms. It’s a lottery going into the office. Anyone can have it and pass it on and then self-isolation…What’s your work doing to keep you protected? I work in an office.

Our office are sticking to stay home if someone you live with tests positive, we are able to Work from home and it seems logical even if the rules are changing.

Well this is the problem, There is no real protection that anyone can offer. If people are in a room together breathing the same air, and they can be contagious without even knowing they're unwell, then there's nothing that anyone can do to stop viruses passing around.

I think employers are just banking on vaccines making everyone have really easy cases.

Hope your husband has a light case and feels better soon Thanks

Hope your DH feels better soon.

I work in Education and many of our staff can't work from home and have to commute to work via public transport. We are following the government guidance.
