I swear I write a thread every week 😳🙄 🤦🏼♀️ so my little one last week.... Had a bottle in the morning as soon as wakes up takes about 100-120mls. I reoffer about an hour later takes another 100mls - 120mls. Then wants another top up about 45mins later before she goes for a nap. For her first morning bottle she takes anywhere up to 300mls. Which is 10oz approx....
I will try leaving her until we're up and changed before feeding but still wants to do the above. She likes to do this with every bottle now - splitting the bottle in 2. Doesn't particularly bother me if she wants to do this tbh - just doesn't seem the "norm" most bottles she doesn't do the above. I would say probably twice a day. She's 6 months on 1st August.
We aim for 7am, 11am, 3pm and 630pm bottles. Though generally it's like 7am, 8am, 845am. 11am, 12pm. 230pm/3pm 4pm. Then 530pm and 630pm and a dream feed - can be 10pm can be 11pm depends when the OH chooses too - we're doing this as helps to get her through to morning (used to refuse this feed but taken to it recently - has 60mls to 100mls). The second time mentioned above is usually a top up.
We have tried hanging on, but she doesn't often drink it in one go. She has been know to drain 210mls and then have another 100mls an hour later 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
She changes so much, and still even doing this she doesn't meet the "recommended" guideline of over 1000mls a day. Recently been 700 to 900mls.
Goes to sleep at 7pm, wakes around 5am sometimes 6am depends on her (used me 1am for a couple hours 😂 😴) I ignore her unless she crys for dummy as she's cooing and just chilling, and she will cat nap until 645/7 when I decide to move and she's now shouting for me 😂 Tried feeding doesn't take any... Naps are variable. But 9am for 1 - 1.5. 12pm/1230pm for 1.5 - 2. Then 30mins to 45mins about 4pm.
We have given some puree at 5pm, not tongue thrusting and yes I know guidelines but she steals food of my plate and shoves it in her mouth before I can whip it off her. We plan to do blw...
My question is do I carry on like this? Is this normal? Cause if I don't do it like this she wakes in the night from 1am as she hasn't had enough in the day... 🤔
