For fun...what tenuous claims to fame do you have via your Facebook friends?

In my Facebook friends I have a friend who has their own IMDB page (for those who don't know IMDB is an online database of information related to films, television programs etc so actors, directors etc) and I have a mutual friend with a 2021 UK Olympian.

Who do you have lurking in your fb friends?

Friends with family of a very famous politician - but not one you’d run around telling people you know !!

Also relative friends with a child actor . Only ever did a handful of films and likely wouldn’t have a clue who my relative is .

Actor who’s done some bits on TV though mainly theatre.
And a couple of jockeys.

Somebody who is married into the royal family. Somebody who went to school with somebody in a boyband (and has them as a friend).

An artist who sells work quite widely. Another two people who went to school with a much more famous boybander, however they both claim to have been in the same school year and one of them must be lying.

A fb friend is close friends with Angel from Escape to the Castle.

Everyone calls her Angie. Also they posted lots of wedding pictures that were on my feed.

Ooh that's reminded me of another very tenuous link .... one of my fb friends (an old school friend) is fb friends with Dick's first wife!

I'm friends with a Team GB Olympian on FB. She's retired now, but we worked together as teenagers and she's lovely. It was a bit weird seeing her doing product endorsements on bus shelters though.

I've got several friends in common with Carrie Johnson and she keeps coming up under "people you may know!"

Side note on the princesses: Eugenie was on FB 10+ years ago as "Eugenie York". We had a random friend in common and FB kept suggesting her to me.

Cousin of a former Irish president - we used to entertain ourselves at uni playing six degrees of separation as you could get to pretty much any famous figure at the time via them.

Sister in law of a well known BBC journalist.

DH had some better ones including actually fairly famous actors who he was at school with.

Spouse of a very famous politician.
Well known (and about to become more so) author.

Lots of friends who are friends with uk tv personalities/ex-pop stars etc
A couple who know current Team GB Olympians.
A friend who works for a charity and has been on zoom calls with VERY famous people. My favourite one being Dave Grohl. Sigh.

I have: 3 members of fairly successful (uk top 5)indie/ rock bands, the mother of two Olympians, (one recent medal winner), a famous photographer, and a member of the band Northern Line 😂
