For fun...what tenuous claims to fame do you have via your Facebook friends?

In my Facebook friends I have a friend who has their own IMDB page (for those who don't know IMDB is an online database of information related to films, television programs etc so actors, directors etc) and I have a mutual friend with a 2021 UK Olympian.

Who do you have lurking in your fb friends?

Actually, the politician on my Facebook is probably the most famous connection.

I'm Fb friends with a bbc presenter...another friend is a friend of a fairly famous musician and another friend is a close friend of a famous novelist. Think that's about it!

My DH was in the Royal Ballet when he was very young.. he’s too old now but still has fabulous legs from all the training. One of my FB friends was in a boy band formed from one of the early Popstars tv shows.. he had a fun couple of years then retired to work as a supermarket manager.

Im Facebook friends with a member of the House of Lords, and the lead guitarist in a 1980's heavy metal band.

Fb friends with someone who's husband is really good friends with the uncle of a very recent Olympic gold medalist. Same husband is friends with famous scientist who was heavily involved in the development of the AZ vaccine. Another fb friend is uncle to a famous (now retired) rugby player. Several fb friends very close real life friends with a successful actress.

The whole point is talking about people who either aren't really famous, or people who are but your connection is slight!

I have another one. A good friend is FB friends with Jess Phillips and Angela Rayner.

An ex FB friend was friends with Martin McGuinness' family. She lived in England for a few years and we became friends then. Swiftly unfriended her when she got a new bloke and became very active in Sinn Fein.

A load of my friends are friends with Lewis Capaldi from before he was famous - but he doesn't have a personal Facebook anymore for obvious reasons haha

FB friends with a famous author (we bonded over our love of books!).

Also a famous comedian - met through a previous job.

Ex boss of mine has a few members of royalty on her friends list as her children went to the same schools. (The profiles are hugely locked down! I checked lol).

Everyone calls her Angie. Also they posted lots of wedding pictures that were on my feed.

Directly - a Danish politician. Indirectly - am friends with a few friends of a member of one of the bands formed on reality tv shows a few years ago. She went to my school but not in my year so the friends are all school friends who knew her better (or didn’t but added her anyway )

My kids have IMDB pages, they are 10 and 12 and are in no shape or form actors , but they are not my FB friends so I can’t count them. I do have a novelist you are unlikely to have heard of, an actress you are unlikely to have heard of (but you’ve probably heard of her ex), and someone else with an IMDB page that is actually deserved, but not for acting.

I very randomly got a friend request from Bernie Clifton a few years ago (You youngsters will have to Google him!) I checked out the profile and it was really him??!! 🤷‍♀️

Still to this day I've no idea why I accepted it. It's not like he has 1000s of friends either

Perhaps he thinks I'm someone else? 😂😂
