Fully elasticated school trousers for a sturdy child

Vickisun · 08/08/2021 21:50

My 3 year old is starting nursery next month and I’m finding it hard to find trousers or shorts that fit. Ive tried all the usual supermarkets but they only have half elastic (back) trousers rather than full elastic. Ive seen some online and on study kids but study kids is so expensive!

Any recommendations? Thanks x

Have you tried next - I was looking today and bought slim fit ones but noticed they have standard and wider fir as well.

Sainsbury's Tu are good for this, they do a plus fit and wash really well!

Does he have to wear proper school trousers at nursery??

LettyLoman · 08/08/2021 22:01

It’s pricey but Marks do a plus size uniform range and I think it makes the waist measurement 6cm bigger but everything else is the same.

DS goes in grey joggers. But his school isn't that strict about uniform.

I second sturdykids. They are brilliant quality as well.

@HalloHello mu daughter went to a school nursery at 3 and it was full uniform.

Anoisagusaris · 08/08/2021 23:54

Full uniform at 3?? That’s crazy.

HalloHello · 09/08/2021 13:42

That is crazy. My daughter is just starting at school nursery next week at almost 3.5, and no uniform. Told to wear comfy clothes for playing!
She has another year after this one as her 'preschool' year with no uniform before starting P1 in 2023, where she will wear uniform.

We are in Scotland though so maybe different.

Tell me about it Angry
