Fitness tracker/watch that records swimming and links with Strava

So I have just bought a Garmin watch that I thought did this but actually doesn't 🙄 (will pop that on eBay!) I'm looking for recommendations for one that actually does.

My Apple Watch did but the spinner bit (that makes it waterproof) has become a bit dodgy so no longer want to risk it.

Looking for something at the cheaper end if possible, although not sure that exists after today's error! 🙈

I’m currently looking at the Garmin venu sq which I think links to Strava.

Doesn’t your Garmin connect to the Garmin Connect app and then you set it it synch to Strava ? Thats what my running garmin does.

I have a Garmin forerunner 35 which connects to Garmin connect but I have Strava set to pick it up automatically when it syncs.

I have a Garmin vivoactive 4s and it does swimming (pool by itself, open water you need to add an app) and I have Garmin Connect set up to sync with Strava.
Which watch did you get?

I got the Garmin vivofit 3 which despite being fully waterproof doesn't appear to record anything other than running and recorded my swim as a run this morning and there doesn't seem to be a way to change this.

It was very cheap to be fair.

My polar ignite records swimming (select it before starting but reasonably accurate on my lengths). I don't use strava but I think it links.

My Garmin Instinct syncs to Garmin Connect and then to Strava.

I have a Huawei one which records swimming very accurately but no idea if it links to Strava

I have a forerunner 735xt, don’t think it’s v expensive and does pool and open water

Also bike, run

Deffo links to strava too, although I use the Garmin app

My Fitbit Versa 3 is waterproof to 50m and records swims and links into Strava

@ShiteningMcQueen sorry I realize this is an old thread but how did you link your Fitbit to Strava?? This is what I’ve done but my activities don’t upload to Strava

Erm, I think I had to turn both off and on a few times and then it worked!
