Shere, Surrey, on a Sunday afternoon

DP and I are thinking of driving (about an hour away) to the village of Shere in Surrey as it's supposed to be beautiful. Has anyone here been? Would there be enough open on a Sunday afternoon? We are thinking of walking around the village, looking into a few boutique -type shops, getting a coffee, that kind of thing. TIA

No idea about shops, there are a couple of nice pubs but you probably need to book a table. Probably a better idea on a nice day- it’s very pretty but wandering around won’t be as fun in pouring rain!

Sheer is a very pretty village but not much to do if it's pouring with rain - only one or 2 shops but lots of good cafes/pubs.

It is pretty, fine for an hour or two and has a nice paddling stream(tearoom next door), but can get overrun on a nice day or if there are cycling events locally.

We just got back. It was a lovely village for a walk - when it rained we went inside one of the shops. We also had some brunch in one of the cafes. Ogling at the gorgeous houses on the way there was quite an experience too!

The ice cream shop is wonderful.
