We have family staying with us for a month and i am struggling to think of some (relatively simple) meal ideas. Done a week so far!! Does anyone have any go-tos? They are not picky eaters. Thank you in advance.

I recently stayed with relatives for a weekend away and she cooked meals that were easy to prepare and delicious

www.hellofresh.co.uk/recipes/fragrant-chicken-laksa-wk44-59b01c7830a03b7fb7310a82 she just purchased the ingredients

www.deliaonline.com/recipes/collections/delias-summer-collection/piedmont-roasted-peppers great weekend lunch meal

Then these recipes I find easy to make ahead

www.deliaonline.com/recipes/international/european/british/shepherds-pie-with-cheese-crusted-leeks really like this recipe but never make the crust topping alway just pop mash on the top

www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/recipes/pot-roast-chicken-with-beans-poule-au-pot/ something you can leave to cook in the oven

This recipe is fairly quick and easy - I buy a bag of stir fry vegetables in Sainsbury, was dubious about the scrambled egg - but it works I under cook

pinchofnom.com/recipes/chicken-pad-thai/

pinchofnom.com/recipes/hibachi-chicken-with-yum-yum-sauce/ we use the other half of the stir fry bag a couple of days later with this meal

After a month we would be eating barbecued guest!

I do a fabulous and easy Italian meatball soup. It's just minestone but with meatballs in it as well. I usually use the pre-made meatballs from the supermarket but you can make them yourself. With nice garlic bread and grated parmesan on the top it is pretty epic.

Oh god, I thought doing my weekly meal plan was bad Grin

Jacket potatoes/cheese/beans
Spaghetti bolonaise/lasagne with garlic bread
Cottage pie
Burgers
Pie & mash
Bangers & mash
Roast chicken/new potatoes
Sausage casserole (slow cooker for ease)
Pasta bake

Including any sides of veg/salad etc

Oh second bangers and mash. We had these last week and I had forgotten how good it could be.

A month?! Can you enlist them in doing the cooking maybe 1-2 nights a week? Or perhaps pay for a takeaway or meal out.

Thank you very much for all the suggestions and the humour! Smile
@ivykaty44 thanks for all the links.

DH cooks as well as me. We will do a couple of takeaways and guests are happy to cook so will ask what they are thinking of making...! Grin
