Anyone else got a stomach bug in their house?

I've got a stomach bug I woke up in the night with vomiting and dihorrea. I feel like loads of people have it here.

I just want to stop vomiting. I can cope with feeling shit and the dihorrea. It's a bad one too, I felt like I was going to pass out before I vomited my body definitely wanted that out!

But of a none post, just wondering if anyone else is in this with me. Just trying to distract myself from the illness.

Luckily we don't have children so not dealing with this and an ill child.

I haven't had vomiting but a week of the other end and I haven't lost at least 2 stone, there's no justice in the world. I honestly thought I was going to lose an internal organ. This is the first time in a week I've felt remotely normal. It was a savage bug!

We had it last week, lasted two days.

I had nice cool baths and was just in bed tbh sipped water. Couldn't stomach food

DH had it last week.
Not the V, just the D

DS has just had it, alongside a nasty headache that got really bad before he’d vomit, rinse and repeat every time he was about to be sick. Considered getting him to the hospital because of it but the paracetamol finally started working. He’s over it now but you’ve my full sympathies, definitely a nasty one

Both DC had it, DS1 had the V and DS2 had the D. Lucky it was that way around as DS1 is old enough to aim into a bowl and DS2 is still in nappies. It was all around DS2s baby room last week - poor babies!

I've felt a bit queasy but have coped by just eating plain food, DH is fine as he never catches anything.

We had it at the beginning of the week. Sign up at nursery saying norovirus doing the rounds, DD was sick once on Saturday night and that was it for her, by Monday husband had bad stomach pains and an upset tummy but other than that he escaped unscathed. By 11am Monday I was projectile vomiting and couldn't get off the toilet, by Tuesday afternoon I was in hospital (also 13 weeks pregnant with HG so needed rehydration therapy for the babys safety)

Ugh, yes. toddler DS had it from Weds and is still being sick at night, poor thing.

Now DH and I have caught it and it is SAVAGE. I cried this morning while trying to look after DS while my stomach cramped before DH came down Blush.

Bless my saint of a mother who is rising her own exposure to come over and help us out.

You all have my sympathies.

LG93 I don't want to alarm you but we had this relatively mild version a couple of weeks ago before this latest.

I sincerely hope that what we have now is a separate thing rather than an incubation of the first but keep an eye on yourself and go gently.

I'm not sure it's necessarily norovirus but I found this while go ogling earlier.

I know what you mean. I keep wondering how it is possible I have anything left to...expel!

You're right, though, misery loves company! The vomiting sounds horrendous in your case, you poor thing.

Does anyone else spend the time they are ill silently promising never to take their wellness for granted again once it's returned to them?! After a particularly nasty illness in my teens I spent a long time being actively grateful every time I went to the loo normally (TMI?!) Grin

The only thing I'm 'ogling' at the moment is the sweet release of bed and sleep!

We have all had it over the last week or so, DS first, then DH and lastly me.

It hit DH the hardest, he was sick a lot, he had no energy and his whole body ached, ended up taking sick leave from work for the first time in forever.
