Visiting a small village in Ayrshire next week for our summer break away. Have been googling places to visit, but thought I'd post here in case anyone has some gems I haven't found.

If you like walking, do some of the Blue Bonnet Trails. We did Tam’s Trail with the dc and the highlight was walking through Belleisle Estate which has a deer park, beautiful walled garden and play area. There are several places to stop along the way for food, including a cafe in Belleisle and the Secret Garden at Doonfoot.
We loved Kelburn, especially the Glen and the dc liked the Secret Forest.
