Covid contact - probably tested positive

My husband (double jabbed) developed Covid symptoms on Friday. Did an LFT = positive and then did a PCR test. Waiting for the results. To be on the safe side both my DD and me (also double jabbed) did an LFT, her’s positive and mine negative. Then did a PCR test, waiting for results.
Needless to say, I will give all contact details to the track and trace but I feel so anxious telling the contacts about the probable Covid results. I feel somewhat ashamed for passing it onto our friends and them having to self isolate due to us. What’s the etiquette for letting your friends it was you…the reason they have to self isolate. Thank you

In the same situation myself but don't feel guilty is a highly transmissible disease.
Someone gave it to your DH and DS, I'd rather be contacted then it just appear iyswim. DS is high risk and not jabbed, DH is double jabbed but still high risk so I'll be keeping an extra eye on them which with the warning I could have kept extra precautions.

I told friends before the PCR result. It was worrying but I thought they could adjust what they were doing in case, if they wanted to.

Thank you for your message. That made me feel better. Hope everything turns out ok for your DH and DS.
