Birthday present ideas for a 6 year old transport fan?

Has anyone got any good ideas for birthday presents for a 6 year old boy? He’s a huge transport fan - mainly trains, tubes and buses - and moderately interested in board and card games. The problem is that he has quite a lot of games already and lots of buses, etc (though there’s no such thing as too many Grin). He already has a train track, car mat, etc.

Any really obvious things I might have missed?

Any good book ideas?

He does have a few practical transport presents like a new water bottle but we haven’t really got him any toys yet and would like to get him something nice but am completely out of ideas this year!

Top Trumps in a busses/trains theme?
A model of some sort that he can build like Airfix?

Tickets to London Transport Museum (if he is nearby) - they are good for a year.

We are already regulars at the Transport Museum! But thank you - he does love it.

Top Trumps also a great idea but he has some…

Lego train is a really good suggestion and one I hadn’t thought of. He has not yet embraced Lego…

Definitely a day out at either York railway museum or the transport museum in Covent Garden, and spending money in the shop!

Durr my WiFi is slow, you live at the transport museum.......there are driver experience days on some of the community railways, I know murton park (east of York) museum's trains do them but not sure if there's an age limit

My son absolutely adores the Peter’s Railway book series. petersrailway.com/ You could take your son on a steam train as a birthday treat?

If you’re in London there’s a kids Peppa Pig afternoon tea on an open top bus.

Personally, I am a car enthusiast. It may be worth checking Facebook for local car shows. He may enjoy them.
They are usually very cheap entry, profits go to charity and aimed for families so often include dog shows etc.
