(Have nc for this). A year or so back I posted and had some great support from a mumsnetter who I've seen posting for a few years. She is in here a fair bit usually, but I haven't "seen" her for a few months now. I hope she's ok. Is it the done thing to ask? I realise she could have nc too obviously.

She's probably just name changed.

I do feel like there's something off about asking, I guess for me it somehow breaches the anonymity of a forum like this, though I appreciate others may disagree.

There is no need to feel anxious or feel it’s something kind of social faux pas to ask!

Yes I wondered if it was off too, after all if she nc she didn't want to be recognised as her previous name did she. I don't want to pry, and I'm not sure now what I hoped to achieve by asking anyway. Sorry!

If you know her username I suppose you could message her?

Though personally I'd always err on the side of letting people be - appreciate the comments and insights as they are/were but not taking it further than that.

If you @ her or PM her under the username you know, the message will reach her as long as she hasn't left the site altogether.

Just send her a PM if you want to. However, she might have set her account so she can't receive messages, or choose not to reply. It's not a faux pas to reach out, though.
