Mouse in house

I have 3 mice hiding in my living room that I want to rehome outside. What is the best way to go about capturing them.
The cat has brought them in and now not interested in them.

When my cat brought in a live one I put some food down near where it was hiding behind the fridge (think I used peanut butter) then waited, when it came out I threw a tea towel over it then gently picked it up in my hand (in the tea towel) and took it outside

If you are taking it outside it needs to be a few miles otherwise it will just come back

Humane traps work well.
My cat loves to bring mice in (and birds). Catching them and popping them back outside works well. Unlike mice that move in of their own free will, victims of cat kidnap have not seemed keen to get back inside 😁

This has happened to me twice now. With one of them cat re-caught it and took it back outside (to stop me from rescuing it from his mouth), the other is still at large. Had been thinking about humane traps for them- anyone got any recommendations?
