Short sleeves?

Can men wear short sleeve shirts for a wedding? It's a typical suit for the men, nice dress for the women type wedding but we have actually no idea if sleeve length is a thing!

I'd say short sleeves are a bit too informal, it's a bit like wearing flip flops.

I think long sleeved shirts should be worn with a suit.

It's like why women can wear hats in church but men have to take their off.
