Did anyone do a passport renewal recently, how long did it take, the website says 10 weeks wonder if anyone got one sooner ?

They received my old one back on July 5th and mailed a new one on July 27th.

There could be a sudden rush since travel is a little more open now? This may not be true any more. 10 weeks seems unlikely though!

About 2 and 1/2 weeks. I did all four of ours online. So easy.

I replaced ours last Christmas and got them back within 6 days, but I think things have moved on since then.

Maybe relevant: it was a UK passport and standard speed, but I'm not in the UK so have no access to the rush options. They may treat foreign addresses differently.

Thanks everyone

I'm sure I read an article in the daily fail that said it was 2 months plus currently.

It's ridiculous that you have to surrender your passport for so long but they no longer add on the extra months. Plus I have elderly relatives abroad and don't want to be unable to travel in an emergency. The system is no longer fit for purpose.

Sorry, I don’t. I’m in Essex if that helps.
