Boris is like Teflon and he's well enough liked. Inconceivable that ex-mining towns forgot how the Tories took away livelihoods; memories are short it appears, and people don't care.

I agree with this. From a mining town myself and know people who inexplicably like him Voted for Conservative for first time ever '' because Brexit..'' Thinks he's a lad, bit of alright really.
