Why do people say "no inboxing" when they're giving stuff away on Facebook?

How do they expect stuff t be collected? Do they really put their address in the comments?

I’d assume it meant ‘no requests via inbox’. I wouldn’t put my address in the comments, but I also wouldn’t want to open dozens of message requests. I’d agree in the comments who I was giving an item to, and then message them privately to arrange pick up.

If people inbox you requests it's hard to keep a timeline of who asked first second etc

BastardMonkfish · 04/08/2021 21:13

They probably don't want 67 sob stories messages in their inbox

Because the rules of some groups say you have to comment then the person will pick someone to give the item away too, at that point usually switches to inbox

Ah that makes sense, thank you
