How long were you in hospital if you were induced?

My DHs sister (SIL) has been in hospital now for 3 days. Went in first thing on Monday morning to be induced at 40 weeks and still no sign of baby so far.
No one is worried but I had no idea being induced could take so long! DS was a spontaneous birth and came early so he was out within a couple of hours.
I'm just curious how long most women go from being induced to having their baby?

Went in Thursday morning. Induction 11 am. Three days later I had an emergency section, three days after that we went home! (Both had sepsis.)

Went in Friday late afternoon. Induced pretty much straight away. Labour started on Saturday. Had emcs early Sunday afternoon. Left hospital on the Wednesday. Was back in on the Saturday with a very bad infection. It took quite a long time to feel better.

Went in Tuesday am and was induced that morning. Baby came Thursday teatime. Went home the following Monday.

Induced Friday gave birth Saturday. Home Wednesday I think? I was only 36 weeks as well (twins), I'm really surprised how long some of you were waiting! Maybe it's different if it's induction because of an issue rather than you've just gone past due date?

Good luck @unicornpower!

Induced Sunday morning, gave birth on the Friday evening after having my waters broke in theatre and put on a drip. Went home on the Sunday evening.

5 long, long days with DS3. People came in, had babies, went home and I was still there having pessaries inserted and bouncing on my flaming ball. I was 42 weeks when I went in. 5 rounds of pessaries, waters broken, hormone drip and he FINALLY arrived.

DS2 was also 2 weeks late (apparently I have the gestational period of an elephant), and induced, but arrived about 12 hours after induction was started, so I really wasn’t expecting DS3 to take quite so long.

Update: I’m currently on day 4! Two pessaries and my waters broke this morning, I’m going to labour ward shortly so hopefully won’t be much longer Grin
