Yes, I'm a Twat - Broken Phone

I bought an as new/used phone almost two years ago. Asked DP to put a protector on it whilst I was cooking, knocked it off the side 20 minutes later and there were huge cracks across the screen despite it being in a case as well.

Meh, no point moaning that he didn't get around to it, shit happens, it still worked, no insurance, my problem, not his. Still slightly miffed that it broke, but at least it has still been usable.

I've just taken it out of the case for the first time because I was about to order a new phone and realised MY PHONE IS PERFECT. It was the screen protector that cracked.

I'm a twat.

Well at least you realised before ordering a new phone.

Unless you really wanted the new phone, in which case, oh dear.

Oh 😂

Did you not mention the broken screen to him? How has he not seen it for 2 years?

I did this too!! Spent 3 weeks with a chipped screen and then realised it was the screen protector. I didn't realise they were like thin glass!

Ha! I bought a new phone and screen protector a few months ago... still haven't bothered putting it on Confused considering how clumsy I am with phones I really should!

I've had them in my back pocket and have them drop down the toilet.
I've dropped them on concrete more times than I care to remember.

But my favourite was when I was sat in the passenger seat of the car with it on my lap. We parked up, I opened the door and it fell off my knees onto the ground. I remember looking at it thinking, "Wow, I'm really lucky it didn't break", and then I fucking stood on it.

Nah, I figured it was my fault as he never bloody listens to me and I should know better by now for not doing it myself.

It went into a flip case the moment it came out of the box, so as he doesn't use my phone and I don't use his, there was no reason for him to see it.

He'd just given in to my relentless nagging to buy a case and protector for his new phone on the grounds that he had form for electric items and phones self destructing in his hands. He may have noticed that I didn't complain when another blender went pouff afterwards, but didn't ask why I didn't say a word for a change.

I have no grounds for a new phone now. Oh well, I'm sure I can console myself with some other necessity extravagance, like a pair of trail running shoes.

I currently have a cracked screen, infact I've had 3 in the last 13/14 months. I've got a hand tremor and am quite good at dropping phones things, you would think I'd learn and get a screen protector eh? Nope!
