West London charity shops

I am clearing my Mum's house and have a ton of bric-a-brac to donate. I am trying to find any local charity shops with a car park in front so that I can drive straight to the door.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions within a few miles of Northolt.

Unfortunately I do not know of any with/near a car park and certainly not near Northolt. Sorry!

Sorry to be of little help on shop front but have you considered a collection? Some charities like British Heart Foundation and TRAID will collect from your home.

Desperatelyseekingreason · 04/08/2021 13:15

Thanks for the collection suggestion I will look into that. .

I live in Plymouth where there are plenty of charity shops sharing car parks with supermarkets. It makes drop off so easy when you have breakable items. I'd hoped there would be some in west London.

Not really op. They'll all on high streets. Loads in Ealing but few parkable. Eastcote or Ruislip probably a bit easier to park as quiet

CrotchetyQuaver · 04/08/2021 13:36

I'd call in or phone a few and see what they say, you never know there could be some way of doing it.

Fizzysticks · 04/08/2021 13:37

Have you checked if any supermarkets have a clothes recycling drop off bin? Not sure about Northolt but there is one in the Chiswick Sainsbury’s car park.

MaxWhitlock · 04/08/2021 13:37

Double check but I think the BHF in West Ealing has a car park at the back that they use for loading and unloading furniture.

daisybrown37 · 04/08/2021 13:50

There is one in West Drayton UB8 3PR, which may have on street parking in front. About 20 mins from Northolt.

Octavia charity shop in Ealing offer a collection service.

NuffSaidSam · 04/08/2021 14:22

There are a few in Ealing with parking outside, but it's luck of the draw whether you'll actually get a space or not. Might have to go round and round. I think some are pay and display.

Try Icollectclothes.co.uk. They will collect items on a chosen day from your home.

A MNer recommended them on another thread and I used them a couple of times during lockdown when shops were shut.

Desperatelyseekingreason · 04/08/2021 20:36

Some good suggestions thank you.

I'll make some phone calls tomorrow and I've not come across Icollectclothes.co.uk.
