Anyone ever had a stroke? How long to feel normal again?

I had a stroke on Friday - bit of a shocker, only 53 and fit and well. Anyone else had one? I was in hospital for 3 nights and now back home again. I'm completely knackered. How long before I start to feel normal again?

Has it fully resolved? ie no remaining symptoms at all? I am not medical but from what I know it varies hugely - brain injuries can take a lot of getting over and need a lot more rest than you'd expect.

@Purplewithred yes, other than tiredness and a feeling of disorientation.

I suffered a stroke at 43 due to a sports accident (I was fit & healthy before). I spent 3 weeks in hospital and had to retrain the brain to walk again.

The brain is a major organ and needs lots of energy to recover. I felt incredibly tired and you need to listen to your body & rest so it can recover. I would say in my case it took me 5 months to recover. I’m now discharged and completely recovered.
