What’s your go to movie when your feeling sad, lonely, just want a laugh, what’s a movie you know will cheer you up or keep you in good spirits.
For me it’s pitch perfect 1&2....
they make me laugh out loud and I never get bored.

@Doublestar

RolloTomassi - Adventures in Babysitting.

LOVE that film. I watched it recently and found it even funnier than I did as a teenager!

@Doublestar me too, it cracks me up! Such a feel-good! Great soundtrack too Smile

@LadyMonicaBaddingham yes to Con Air - it’s such mind numbing entertaining brilliant rubbish isn’t it?!

For me it’s usually a 90s movie in that style - The Fugitive, Air Force One. Also love Home Alone.

I love In Her Shoes if I fancy a rom com

Forgetting Sarah Marshall...the Dracula musical is amazing. I’d love to see it in real life. Russell Brand is great in

Local Hero
Hot Fuzz
Legally Blonde

MazDazzle · 03/08/2021 23:20

For me it’s Gavin & Stacey.

I know it’s now a movie, but it’s been my go to. The night my father died suddenly when he was only 49, the night I went into labour with my first born, the night I tried weed for the first time in my 30s (bad idea. WTF was I thinking?).

It’s still my go to all these years later. Smile

crapatthis1 · 03/08/2021 23:22

Either :

Dumb and Dumber
Any of the Naked Guns
Inbetweeners (although I think the tv series is better)
Monthly Python (any of the films)
Sister Act 2
Zootropolis
Coming to America

Anything by Richard Curtis. Love actually, Bridgit jones, nativity , etc

Sparklingbrook · 03/08/2021 23:56

Another one is Tremors. Supposed to be scary but actually hilarious. Plus Kevin Bacon is cute in it.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 04/08/2021 00:02

Father of the bride 2 or sister act 2

Obviously the first ones of both are excellent but I adore the second ones!
