Any tips for eye ointment for three year old

Just that really. Tried bribery and force. All traumatic. We’ve watched dr Ranj. We’ve explained why it’s needed.
All we get is fighting, fear & screaming.
A drop would be easier but it has to be the cream.

Just bumping in case anyone has any ideas

I feel your pain OP I'm afraid we went with force as DS wouldn't have the cream at all. No matter how many chocolate aero balls or toys were promised! To be fair to him though he seemed to realise after he had had it that the pain eased and his aversion to it decreased so much so that if I asked him if he wanted eye drops or cream he'd opt for cream. It's an ongoing issue for us due to an eye problem and he seems to have accepted it now and will actively ask for his cream. Sorry not sure that helps! With the force we did keep explaining why we were doing it and that he would feel better afterwards etc etc but it was tough 😬.
