Talk to me about guest beds - NOT inflatable!

We have friends coming and usually either put them in one of our beds, or we use an inflatable camp bed. However, the camp beds are crap and it can get tricky if someone is staying more than a day or two when they are in our bed(s).

We have a large converted basement so that would be good to put people in, but what shall shall we get for them to sleep on...?

We have a budget of £200ish, max, and storage space (but not enough for a mattress.)

Thanks

We have two choices in our house - a single bed that folds out from a pouffe and then this excellent John Lewis guest bed which is usually a single (could be covered with a throw & used against a wall with cushions as a sofa, but the lower bed zip links to the upper mattress to make a comfortable double or can be used as two singles.

The ikea hemnes daybed was good - it pulls out into a decent size double and it has massive storage drawers to keep duvet and pillows and still have space spare.
