21 weeks pregnant and not feeling baby

Hey,

So I'm new to all of this and a first time mum to be. I'm 21 weeks pregnant today and I'm really unsure if I am feeling my little man move or not.... occasionally I would get a pain in one area and it would go as quick as it happened and then I would feel it somewhere else and go again quickly. I don't know if I am feeling the flutters or anything else I really don't know and I am worried so much. Does anyone else have the same experience. Is it normal not to know if baby is moving or not. Is it normal not to feel baby moving. Am I worried about nothing 😕

Please go/ring your hospital ward etc. Do not ignore. There should be a number on your notes.

Do check with your local pregnancy advice line (your midwife should have given you the details) but I hope the above post hasn't worried you too much. With my first I didn't feel movement until around/after 21 weeks - you tend to feel it later with a first baby, plus my placenta was front lying. I can tell you those 2 things can make a massive difference, as I am now 19 weeks with my second and have been feeling movements for about 3 weeks!

You must have had your anomaly scan recently, how was that? Did they tell you where your placenta was positioned? :)

My midwife said not to worry until 24 weeks. I felt him move around 22 weeks- it was weird though- not movement- more of a pop/bubble feeling.

I had my 20 week scan at 18 weeks as I was due to go away 🙈 and apparently everything was fine and where it is meant to be..... the "pain" I get Isn't a long sharp pain and like I said it moves all over the place in my belly all below the belly button. And it's not a constant pain it feels like a stab then it's gone and moves somewhere else and it's not all day every day it's just a random time.

I also get a weird feeling like when you get a chill and you shake, after I rub my belly, it's just not consistent and I've read all the stories of still births etc and it's really playing on my mind
