Winter birthday party ideas

My daughter will be 7 at the very start of December and I'm struggling to think of ideas for a party - we really want to do something as she missed last year due to Covid and she would love a party.

They're a bit big now for a soft play party, it'll be too cold to do anything outdoors, so we need other indoor ideas. Not swimming, some of them are nervous of water. Our house is too small unless she only has a few friends but I think she would probably want about 10 so it'd be a bit of a squeeze. We could rent a local hall but what could we do in it??

Any ideas gratefully received!

Bowling.

Mine always loved a bowling party!

DD - 15 is bowling with her mates as I type 😀

Ooh bowling, I never thought of that, I don't even know where the nearest one is! I'll have a look. Cinema might be a good shout too and there's a McDonalds next door.

Do you have a climbing wall, trampoline centre, gymnastics hall, or similar near you? Pizza express party? Cinema trip and lunch?

If you can rent a hall, how about setting up a few different stations, like cupcake decorating, potato-printing Christmas cards or making decorations, some kind of movement competition (if you have a Wii fit or something like that?), with a little dancefloor area or a movie corner to play short winter-y themed movies with popcorn and blankets etc?

There is a trampoline centre, or there was pre-Covid. She has actually been to a party there, I forgot about it. Another one to add to the list. Climbing wall is a no, she's not keen on heights Grin

Swimming, cinema, bowling are all popular here.

My dc loved a build-a-bear party although they cost a fortune!

We did a few parties in the village hall with traditional party games that went down well.

My daughter will be 5 in December and also struggling for ideas!
For her 3rd birthday (pre covid) we hired a hall with a bouncy castle. Was a massive hit! Could get other kinds of inflatables for older kids?

When DD was 7 she had a roller-skating party. The people provided the skates, taught them all how to do it, then they had a roller-disco. It was fab!

You could have a summer party now, as she missed out last year. I would make the most of the opportunity while you can, as no guarantees you will be able to do an indoor party next winter.
My sister has a December birthday and used to have a summer birthday party as my Mum preferred it, but she also loved it.

Ceramic painting party or decopatch parties are popular here.
