OMG addled egg

I just selected 2 eggs and broke one into the pan all fine then broke the second one in and it was grey/green and the smell I have almost vomited 20 times now but luckily had not eaten anything I had to put the pan on the garden wall and may have to kiss goodbye to it but I honestly think I can never eat another egg ever again - I have scrubbed my hands twice now and can still smell the stench in my nails - enjoy your breakfast Grin

Ew. Thanks for that.

I had a bad soft-boiled duck egg once; took me years to eat another duck egg.

I have never much liked them - was actually doing a couple for the dog as a treat for his breakfast but I did eat them occasionally as am a vegetarian so useful source of protein.

An off egg is awful, we had one that we had got from a house down the road that has free ranging chickens, as in the we're frequently all over the road

I reckon they had just missed one. We always do the drop in water now, even though our eggs are from a farm and very fresh

I haven't had an addled egg for decades.
The memory of the last one still lingers though. Forth egg into a cake, cracked straight down the chute of the food processor. Tears were involved (and retching).
Good luck with the recovery process.

Vegan brunch for you, perhaps…?
