Haven't found it yet but nothing grand or expensive.

3-4 beds with nice garden, modern interiors. Maybe space to have a swimming pool built.

AbsolutelySure · 01/08/2021 15:38

4/5 bed detached home with lovely gardens and balcony overlooking the sea

AuntieDolly · 01/08/2021 15:44

Not one you can see from the road

PPCD · 01/08/2021 15:46

I like the croquet lawn @CitrusIceCream but you'd need to redecorate the house

CitrusIceCream · 01/08/2021 15:48

Yes, PPCD - Have already decided on the nee decor 😊

There’s a house near me that’s very pretty. Of course I’d need to buy the next door hours and evict the neighbours (hugely loud).

Wasn't thinking of lottery, but was daydreaming about if DH's software produce magically hit the jackpot and saw a place on Highgate/Hampstead borders that I loved. It's not listed anymore, but it was rarity in that it was a big, modern-look house it that it felt like you could actually live in it - some are so big and airy you can't imagine actually living there but I loved that one; i think it would be my dream home. If I had about £6m. Blush

Tiffany house
I used to walk past it on my way to school and thought it was amazing.

It needs a total revamp inside and the garden is not as big as I thought it would be as a kid Grin

No longer on the market, but I think this is the most amazing house ever seen

I used to live near Ropley where your Lottery house is OP!
I would buy detached, at least 1 mile from nearest neighbours - pool, tennis courts abs near the sea.

Hippopotas · 01/08/2021 15:59

A 4/5 bed house with a bungalow annexe for my mum and a paddock for a horse.

Intherightplace · 01/08/2021 16:04

What I handker after is effectively a high end penthouse flat with a small terrace/courtyard garden, but detached, not in a block.

I don't think it exists Grin

23 acres. You will need a full time gardener. Or two.

I haven’t found my lottery dream house yet but I know it needs at least three staff cottages. Security in one, gardener/cleaner in another and Nigel Slater in the third to cook for me.I havent actually asked Nigel yet, so if you meet him please don’t mention it.

SirenSays · 01/08/2021 16:19

I'd never buy a house in England. I wouldn't splash my fortune on a big house anywhere tbh but for the sake of the thread I'd say..

Not for sale, but you know, you can always ask..... Grin

Onetraumaatatimeplease · 01/08/2021 18:12

Normally it would be some sprawling estate with a swimming pool and room for a pony.
Right now, a beach hut. Built for one.

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 01/08/2021 18:16

I’d be happy to stay here, but I want to redo the kitchen, add an orangery, redo the bathrooms and have every room decorated and the garden properly landscaped.

samwitwicky · 01/08/2021 18:18

I'd build my own!

Amichelle84 · 01/08/2021 18:22

I'm designing my own and then going off on numerous holidays until it's built, then come back and move straight in with it all set up to how I want

Daisy829 · 01/08/2021 18:22

Oh I love the Alderley Edge house. Look at the bedrooms. Amazing! Never have to see the kids again in that space.
