Does anyone else feel trapped?

I don’t mean DV where you may actually can be trapped, So sorry if that is your experience.
I mean more by circumstances.

I often feel physically trapped. I have a disability and not allowed (or safe) to drive and rely on other people for transport at the moment due to Covid. Even normally when close to transport once it gets to evening I’d have to pay for a taxi.

I wondered if anyone also feels like this. I truly hate my disability.

Yes, I can only walk a few yards at the best of times. Reliant on my carer and adaptations. Recently got a mobility scooter, but after being in my home for so long I'm a bit reticent about going out. Though I did go for an early morning spin over our local park with my son, it felt wonderful. Five years ago I was hiking and travelling. I'm 50 and feel like it's all ended. I hate feeling trapped, physically and mentally.

@flameycakes sorry you are limited. I’m more mobile but just not enough to feel free. I try to remind myself that a parent or carer also can’t just go anywhere, nor can people with limited money or anxiety. (Not exactly that people have it worse, just in some ways similar.)

I think it's hard some days and easier others. I went out on my scooter yesterday for a few hours, it was wonderful and I was more relaxed at home later on. I think I just need to adapt to my new reality. Hope this positive feeling lasts.
