Which hotel for O2 London

Hello!

We have an event booked at the O2 next June and are thinking about where to stay. Being from further up north we don't have a clue where would be good.
It's for my birthday so would like somewhere quite nice. No budget within reason for one night. Obviously won't be spending all evening there but good food is a must.
We can drive or get the train to kings cross.
Will be spending a good chunk of the day in London the next day before heading home for school run.
Please help, any advice is most welcome.

The Pilot, Greenwich, is a stones throw from the O2 and a lovely hotel/pub and restaurant

Thank you will have a look. At a previous event we stayed in Greenwich and DH had a severe allergic reaction to the aircon, suppose I should find out which it was

The Intercontinental at the O2 would be the obvious and easiest option.

We've stayed at the Intercontinental both times we've been to the O2. Would definitely recommend!

The intercontinental looks just about perfect!
