Looking for solidarity please. 🤮

This was me this time last week OP.
And on top of it I had the worst hangxiety ever, as we had been at a get together and I was convinced I had made a massive tit of myself and everyone now hated me! Apparently neither of these things were true, but oh God it was just the worst!

Solidarity to you - you are just going to have to ride it out!

@thenightsky

Well, I've not learned my lesson from this morning. I'm on my second bottle of prosecco.
Noooooo

@ApolloandDaphne

I had a hangover like this last weekend. Just me and DH sitting outside in the dark, drinking wine, listening to music by the fire pit. It was lovely, went off to bed, slept the sleep of the dead then woke with a raging hangover. It was only when I eventually got up I realised I had drank two bottles of wine! No wonder I felt shit. I am an adult of almost 60. Why did I not realise how much wine I was consuming? Needless to say I am now firmly off the wine (until the next time of course).

Hope you are feeling excellent today OP!

Those are the ones that get you! When you're just chilling drinking wine, it feels so very civilised that you don't realise you're going to wake up feeling like a teenager that's been on the white lighting.

Well, I survived the night and am up cooking a roast.

DH was absolutely fine yesterday, the bastard.

Sometimes it's better to make yourself sick cos you usually feel better after it.

May I share my NEW MAGIC TRICK with you?

I picked up some dispersible electrolytes in Aldi the other week for post-workout stuff, but have since accidentally discovered that they are THE SHIZ for tidying up the worst of a hangover.

Highly recommended.

Keepemguessing · 01/08/2021 13:35

I was actually sick after drinking lady night. I haven't done that in years.

I'm still in bed and have a tuna sub on order.

WeAreTheHeroes · 01/08/2021 13:36

If you've had lots to drink then plenty of water and Alka seltzer excess before bed make a massive difference. If you remember. Some years ago I went to a big party, totally overdid the red wine and had to cook NYE dinner for 12 people the next day.

I even did that! I had one before bed and one in the morning and still felt as deaths door!

FFS I'm 38, not 22. When I am going to learn to not drink like that Grin

I did eventually puke at about 11pm last night and felt miles better for it.

Oh god it is grim being sick but sometimes it's the only way 🤮

Keepemguessing · 01/08/2021 17:42

I'm still in bed.
