If an application date is by are applicatiobs received on rhat date ok or considered late

Just wondering, if something says application by a date would application received on the date be considered on time or late

On time.

Unless there is a specific time deadline for the date in question, eg by 9am.

On the date itself would still be on time. We've let a couple through, depending on how many candidates we've had.

A couple through after the cut-off, that should say. So if the time given was 12noon we might still take one that came in at 2pm etc if it would take us from two to three applicants, for example.

I've had people phone me as the recruiting manager and ask if it was okay to send in that afternoon or whatever, I usually wouldn't say no. I work in a very specialised area though, so we don't get a lot of candidates with the exact skillset we need.

Problem sorted, spoke to them this morning and there was a clitch with the website so they've reopened applications til 12 tomorrow
