Dh has a friend who has gone this year.
We’ve had a running commentary since he arrived with his wife and kids.
“This is worse than hell, mate. It’s just middle aged people wearing sequins and dragging kids around in carts to look cool on instagram. This is first and last time wifes name talks me into it.
There have been a series of other texts saying, “why the fuck do I have to put glitter on my cheeks? I’m 43, not 7”
and
“There are men our age looking miserable in sequin trousers, why are they doing this to themselves?”
“Everyone is pretending it’s woodstock but with whinging kids everywhere”
Sorry if you love that sort of thing but he’s made me laugh.
I see it on instagram, it is all just sequins and glitter. Seemingly just for the sake of it.
It’s like a uniform.
I am a miserable sod though, I used to take my eldest to V festival when he was little, but to see bands and it was before dressing like a clown to go to one became popular.
