What's everyone doing today?

I'm just having my cup of tea, listening to the wind in the sycamore at the end of the garden. The tree's huge & makes it sound worse than it is outside.

There are last night's pots to wash , some washing to be done, and the floors could do with sweeping & mopping. We'll tackle those shortly, when the girls are up.

Dd2 has a dream catcher kit to make, so we might start that. We were going to do it yesterday but she decided to play Minecraft with her friends instead 🙄

I'll prod dd1 along too -she's meant to be googling revision techniques over the holidays to try and help with biology but hasn't so far.

I'm going to carry on with my latest crochet project this afternoon. & maybe some of the prep for returning to Rainbows and Guides in September.

No idea what's for tea yet but it will be accompanied by , for me.

All in all, a very normal day here! What about everyone else? :)

We’ve had a nice quiet day. Trying to get on top of house stuff and managed to get out for a walk between rain showers.

Waiting for a takeaway to arrive then hopefully get kids to bed at a reasonable time!

I prepared a 'guest bathroom / storage room' for the - as yet hypothetical - visit by a plumber. Now they can work and we can still reach all the stuff.

Apart from that I am doing my languages , DH is working, DD was at a zoom-birthday party and DS did some washing and gaming.

I planned to go out for a long walk today but if didn't happen. A friend called round to see if I fancied a walk (which never happens) and I still couldn't muster up enough energy though I know it would've done me good. Instead I went food shopping, window shopped in Dunelm Mill and watched back episodes of Silent Witness. I feel like I've wasted the day

bugger all. i’m absolutely shattered lately so i’ve been in my pyjamas watching netflix all day. my partner took all the kids out for the day so i could have some time to myself, and now he’s downstairs making me steak with all the trimmings 🤤 then it’s bath and bed and hopefully i’ll wake up tomorrow feeling a bit more together!

I've not done that much as feeling very drowsy again today and achy, thought was anti-histamines but didn't take them and felt same today. Had a lovely roast dinner and scones and cream, watched a bit of Olympics and cleared a lot of e-mails and did accounts, sorted more things for holidays and discussed sixth forms with DD but none of the physical tidying done.

DH is just off to buy ink cartridges for the printer as DD has UKMT Maths summer camp starting Monday and need to print the worksheets out.

The toddler, the dog and I are visiting my brothers in the Highlands. We're just about to have pizza and I can't wait.

Went and did a good shop, cleaned the house, put away the laundry and did some colouring and Watched Peter Rabbit 2 with the DC. Now I'm going to jump into bed and play stardew valley on the switch because I'm knackered. 🤓
