Anyone know about hearing aids?

MIL has been in quite a serious RTA and is stuck in hospital with broken ribs. She has poor hearing and wears hearing aids, possibly from Specsavers. She currently has one but we think the other one got damaged or lost in the accident - so she's obviously really struggling in hospital.

She'll be there for the next week or so - would it be possible to get replacement hearing aids from Specsavers? Do you have a prescription like glasses? I guess they'll have a lead time too

Yes, you can get a replacement. If she tells you which spec savers she used, they’ll be able to organise replacements, just telephone them tomorrow

Mine have an app and via the app on my phone I could request a replacement (or repair). They advise you to add them to your contents (home) insurance but as it’s part of a car accident, do check if the replacement would be covered by car insurance as part of the accident costs.

When I got mine, they were in stock and I walked away from my first appointment. The prescription is done electronically to the hearing aid within the spec savers itself.
