Baguettes aren’t what they used to be are they?

Just bought a baguette today for the first time in about 10 years, I’m sure it was only 3/4 of the size they used to be! Atrocious!
Maybe I’m just a greedy pig but I’ve managed to just about make 4 sandwiches from it (not all for me Grin ).
Am I wrong? Am I just older and fatter and greedier now?
This was a standard tescos baguette. I actually bought 2, one tiger and one plain.

Was it a full-size one (supposedly!) you bought? Tesco do a shorter length one as well.

Bread these days is pretty universally processed crap

You're not wrong. Even the baguettes I had in France weren't great unless bought from an artisanal bakery. Sad times.

Yes it was the longer full sizes ones - I saw the shorter options too!
Agree @hamstersarse and we usually make all our own bread, baguettes included, but I was in the supermarket and fancied a baguette instantly rather than making them at home. I mean, it’s tasty but just small Grin
