Sockets and light switch-do they have to match?

Having extra bedroom extension. All electrical sockets will be brushed chrome. However the bedside lights are glass and brass. Should I get a brass 3way dimmer switch to match the lights, or stick with chrome dimmer switch to match the rest of room? Smile

Match the sockets!

Even though the dimmer switch will be fairly close to the bedside light? Will it not look odd that they are two different metals? Or will that be ok? My mind is getting scrambled now as I’ve spent sooooo long choosing lights, now that I’ve chosen I’m worried about the switches!

Yes match the sockets. At some point you're going to change the brass lamps
